For the past 12 years, I have dedicated myself to the practice of yoga, attending an average of five hot yoga classes per week. Yoga became a way of life quite early on in my life. Discovering this profound practice at the age of 22 was truly a blessing.

My journey began in 2011, following an ACL reconstruction on my right knee.

Following my right knee's recovery, in January 2012, I underwent the same procedure on my left knee. Unfortunately, this time complications arose, and I contracted a staphylococcus aureus infection during the surgery. The aftermath was septic arthritis in the knee joint, requiring a two-week hospitalization and a course of IV antibiotics. The doctors (at Croydon University Hospital) told me that I would never be able to walk again normally and this diagnosis not only left me physically drained from the trauma but also spiraled me into a state of depression.

Overcoming this adversity was a slow, agonizing, and emotional journey. Now, 12 years later, through unwavering commitment and consistent yoga practice, I am in the best health of my life. Armed with two functional knees, a profound understanding of holistic well-being, and a wealth of yoga knowledge and skills, I've not only resolved my physical health issues such as asthma, eczema, allergies, and knee problems, but I've also addressed the mental health challenges that had challenged me since a young age that I wasn't even conscious of. These issues, unfortunately, affect countless young men and women worldwide, often remaining unaddressed and stigmatised until recent times. My aim through teaching yoga is to ensure I can help people through such similar struggles, and work to overcome them.

Yoga emerged as my guiding light, helping me find inner peace and resolution. Its beauty lies in its simplicity—requiring only your own presence, your mind, your body, and your mat.

I found the Classic Hot Yoga (26&2) to be extremely therapeutic for the situation I found myself in and due to the lack of mobility and difficulties I was facing, it provided the most relief and it was the most accessible for me. Fortunately in the last few years I have been able to pick up Vinyasa and other styles now my knees are in better condition.

I count myself fortunate to have not only regained the use of my knee but also to have learned a priceless lesson: life's guarantees are few, save for its eventual end. This revelation propels me to share the wonders of yoga with the world.

My work through yoga is to impart my story and knowledge to help as many people as I can through it's teachings.

Whether you're facing a similar journey or an entirely different one, or even if you're simply seeking a yogic experience, transformation is a possibility for all. Progress may be gradual, but the ancient practice of yoga, with its centuries of proven value, stands as a testament to its enduring effectiveness.
